On a damp miserable day, we struggled to get going with passes
going astray and neither side able to play any decent football.From
some very slack marking with our defence ball watching we
fell behind 1-0. Then came the turning point of the whole
match. Max clean through on goal, a two footed lunge from
their keeper brings him down - clear penalty. Their ref gives
a corner. Nobody can believe it, including both sets of supporters
and players. A real shame because it set the tone for the
rest of the game and influenced the outcome of the match.
Harry on for Kyran. Half time 1-0. Second Half. Try as we
might to get back into the game, the tone had been set by
the disappointments of the 1st half and the ongoing incidents.
Charlie on for Lucaas. As we pushed on in search of our equaliser,
we left more gaps at the back, but with Kern in great form
we never looked like conceeding. Final Score 1-0.
Credit to both sets of players who tried very hard to play
some football in difficult circumstances.
