Straight from the off, the Yellows went on the attack causing
the Weekley defence to drop deeper and deeper. Wave after
wave of attacks particularly down the right hand side saw
the ball very rarely enter our half of the pitch, but we couldn't
make the early break through. Max won the ball in the middle
of the pitch and ran at the Weekley defence and struck a shot
that went between their goalkeeper's legs to put us 1-0 up.
Half time 0-1.
2nd Half. Harry on for Kyran,Charlie on for Joe.
The 2nd half continued in much the same vein as the 1st, with
us putting their defence under pressure but not being able
to convert our chances.Then after trying to play too much
football, we got caught by a counter attack which resulted
in a penalty after Kern had unluckily brought down one of
their players in our box. Kern them redeemed himself by saving
the penalty. Scott on for Alistair. From a break down the
right hand side Lucaas crossed for Max to score his 2nd of
the match to make it 0-2. Sion on for Max,Joe on Lucaas, Kyran
on for Harry. Final score 0-2.
Well done everybody,not one of our best performances but
a good result.We must learn to start killing teams off when
we are so much on top.
