With the pitches becoming harder to play on due to the weather,we
at least this week had the benefit of being the early K.O.
We took the game to Burton and the early exchanges all took
place in their half with their keeper making some good saves
denying us an early goal. From Burton's 1st venture into our
half they took the lead. 1-0. We kept plugging away and were
soon rewarded courtesy of a penalty after a hand ball. Up
stepped Joe to level the score 1-1. Kyran on for Harry. Half-time
1-1.
2nd half Charlie on for Liam. The 2nd half continued in the
same vein as the 1st and it wasn't long before we took the
lead with Max going on a solo run past 3 defenders and slotting
home to make it 1-2. Scott then made it 1-3 with a good finish
following some good build up play. Lucaas on for Scott, Sion
on for Max and Alistair on for Joe saw us continue to dominate
the match. Kyran won a good tackle in midfield and fed the
ball to Lucaas who ran at the Burton defence and hit a sweet
shot that flew into the bottom corner of the net for his 1st
goal of the season. Final score 1-4.
Another good performance well done.Good to see Charlie back
after illness! Thanks as usual to the parents and friends
