In our last game before the winter break, we were looking
for a good performance today. We started badly and never really
got going.Soon we found ourselves a goal down, a cross from
the right was unfortunately deflected into our own net. 0-1,
could we bounce back? We really couldn't get hold of the ball
to be able to do anything with it. Scott on for Alistair,
Max on for Sion, saw us go into half time 0-1 down.
After the most vocal team talk I have ever given, we took
to the field for the 2nd half determind to put things right.Liam
on for Lucaas, Harry on for Kyran. Right from the off we tore
at the Rovers defence looking for the equalizer but left some
gaps at the back and only a couple of good saves from Kern
kept us in it! Soon the pressure we were putting on their
defence payed off.From a corner from Liam, Max buried a header
into the roof of the Rovers net 1-1. Game on. A great move
starting in our own half, Liam passed to Harry, Harry to Scott
and from a great cross Max rose to power another header passed
their keeper 2-1. Now the flood gates were open. Scott picked
up the ball on the halfway line and ran at their defence and
cheekily chipped their keeper to make it 3-1. Max completed
his hat-trick and the scoring by finishing off his own shot
that came back off the post after another good move . Final
score 4-1.
A real game of two halves.We weren't at the races in the
1st half but put it right with a very good 2nd half performance.
