So to the last game of the season. With only 6 players to
select from due to illness and holidays we were up against
a strong Tigers team. With a very strong wind against us in
the 1st half we really took the game to the Tigers by keeping
the ball on the floor and trying to play football to overcome
the elements and this was to prove sucessful.After a wave
of attacks, Max broke down the right and put a dangerous ball
into the box and with Harry putting the Tigers defender under
pressure he sliced the ball into his own net 0-1 .Kern then
made a super save to keep the score at 0-1, then right on
the stroke of half time from a corner the Tigers equalised.
Half time 1-1.
The 2nd half continued in much the same vein as the 1st,
but this time we had the wind behind us and with instructions
to shoot on sight, Lucaas let fly with a beauty that flew
into the roof of the Tigers net to put us 1-2 up. We had a
few more chances to finish the game off but due to some good
goalkeeping the game finished 1-2 to the Yellows.
A great result today with everybody playing really well.
