From the off it was clear this was going to be a tough game
against the Braves with both sides looking very good so far
this season. Most of the early pressure though was coming
from the Yellows which saw us hit the woodwork on 2 occasions.
From some poor marking the Braves went ahead from a snap shot
on the edge of our box 1-0. This was only the 2nd time we
have been behind in a match this season so it was going to
be interesting to see how we would react and react we did,
from some good work down the left Liam shot, their keeper
did well but couldn't prevent the ball from crossing the line
1-1. Harry on for Kyran. Half time 1-1.
The 2nd half saw us us continue to press, we hit the woodwork
again! (maybe it wasn't going to be our day) then from a free
kick on the edge of our box the Braves went 2-1 ahead. Could
we come back again? Scott on for Liam. Scott started to make
some good runs down the right, we hit woodwork for a 4th time!
Liam back on for Charlie. Then as time was running out Max
won the ball in the Braves area and shot under their keepers
body to make it 2-2. Kyran back on for Harry, Charlie back
on for Liam. We continued to press for a winner but couldn't
find a way through the Braves defence. Final Score 2-2.
Well done everybody a good performance from us to come back
on two occasions against good opposition.
