This week we were up against Grange who like ourselves had
only lost once this season. In a very tight 1st half both
teams cancelled each other out with the Yellows having the
better openings and more of the play. But from a corner, which
was one of the few Grange attacks, a slip let Grange in at
the far post.1-0. We continued to take the game to Grange
but went in at half time 1-0 down.
2nd half followed much the same pattern as the 1st with very
few chances at either end but with the Yellows having the
better of the play.Max then received the ball on the left
and nutmegged the defender and slotted the ball into the corner
of the net to put us level 1-1.Liam on for Scott who along
with everyone else had played extremely well. Both teams then
went looking for the winner and direct from a corner Grange
fortuitously took the lead. 2-1.We continued to apply the
pressure in search of an equaliser with Max going close from
a header and right at the death Kyran had a shot that trickled
past the outside of the post. Final score 2-1.
Extremely unlucky to be on the losing side today superb performances
all over the pitch.We play Grange again next week and hopefully
we will get the result we should have got today!
