After a bruising battle of a game last week, we found ourselves
up against Generals Red. From the start we continued our good
form and really took the game to a good Generals side. Wave
after wave of attacks put the Generals defence under immense
pressure and finally they cracked when a good ball crossed
in from Liam was deflected into the Reds net.1-0. Now we started
to play some of our best football of the season passing the
ball well with some great attacking play particularly down
the lefthand side and when the Generals did manage to get
out of their own half,Joe and Charlie took control.Following
another good move down the left,Charlie controlled the ball
inside the box and shot to put us 2-0 up.Our football was
now a joy to watch, and soon after from a Liam cross, Max
made it 3-0. Half time.
After being torn to pieces in the 1st half, the Generals
decided on a damage limitation exercise and defended deep.Kyran
on for Harry, Alistair on for Liam and Lucaas on for Max.
Try as we might, we couldn't manage to add to our 1st half
score, but totally dominated the match from start to finish.Final
score 3-0.
Fantastic all round team performance, with everybody contributing
to a great win. Great support as always from the parents and
thanks to Tony for reffing.
Man of the match: A very close run choice this week with
Joe just shading it over Liam.
