In difficult playing conditions (blazing sun and small pitch
made of concrete) Thrapston turned in an extremely efficient
performance
to secure another haul of maximum points to edge them closer to the league title.
From start to finish Thrapston dominated this game and in
truth on another day could well have run up a more significant
score line, but lets not be picky.
On the positives we had a brace each from our goal machines
Ryan Caller and Alexander Palmer (Caller’s both fine
right foot executions) and Alex Rutter tapping in at the
back post from a corner – 2 goals from corners today
was a real treat. The defence were rock solid completing
yet another shut out and keeper William Gadsby had no save
of note to make so had plenty of time to work on his tan
and kicks from hand which proved to be a great weapon of
offence.
So we march onwards with only 3 league games left to acquire
the league title; let’s maintain the level of commitment,
confidence and football so that we can truly enjoy the final
few matches. Well played everyone and thanks for the great
level of support from all the families.
