What a start!
Peter & Kyle kicked off, Peter made a run forward for Kyle to find him, Peter
shoots & scores! 0-1 in 15 seconds!
A great start to what was another exciting game to watch.
Aiden was simply solid at the back as everything the Ospreys threw at him he
delt with superbly. John was given a slightly more forward role this week but
his defensive instincts were keeping him back to do his usual solid job in defense.
Peter & Kyle were combining well in attack, but a slight lapse saw the Ospreys
score an equalizer. 1-1. Then came a series of attacks from both teams, but it
was a nice through ball from Peter who set Kyle on his way to score a very composed & calm
2nd goal for Thrapston. 1-2 Half time.
The second half subs came on with Fergus, Jake & Adam replacing Peter, John & Kyle.
Jake was making good challenges, Adam was a right little bulldog this week as
he made challenge after challenge, & Fergus was his usual hard running self,
who could have scored a couple of goals himself had it not been for some good
last ditch tackles from the Corby side.
Matthew kept us in the game with some great goalmouth clearances too.
With time running out you could see with every tackle made that we weren’t
going to lose this match, & everyone dug in deep to hold on for another very
hard fought win.
A great win for the team who can be proud of this win against a good Corby team.
