One a piece at half time was a fair reflection of both teams
first half performance, attacking domination being gained
and held for periods of time by either side with spells of
good football being played on a difficult surface.
Rangers came out of the blocks and hit the side net in the
first minute but Thrapston quickly settled.
Rangers Keeper was only able to block Will Ann’s penalty
but fast reactions saw Reece Evans beat the defenders to
the rebound to make it 0-1.
Again Rangers hit on the break catching Man of the Match
Ryan Kirk out of position to make it 1-1.
Better defending in the second half from Matty Watts, Anns
and Kirk combined with a couple of positional switches paid
dividends as on form Paul Spicker with superb vision, played
Kyle Fox into the danger area who made sure of the 3 points
with a superbly weighted 20 yard lob over the Keeper. 1-2
at full time.
