Todays game saw Thrapston lose 6-3 to Volta, a scoreline
which flattered the Finedon side.
Some early pressure from Thrapston looked like we were going to take an early
lead, but a couple of breakaway’s & miss tackles led to Volta
going into a 3-0 lead.
But then came the first goal of an excellent hat-trick for Peter, a goal kick
fell to peter, who passed a superb ball through to Tom on the left, Tom spotted
Peters run & returned the pass to Pete who coolly slotted the ball passed
the keeper. Volta scored 2 more soft goals, before a great break-away secured
Peters second. Volta then scored their 6th. Then right at the end another break
away by Peter saw him finish is first hat-trick for Thrapston.
A really good second half for Thrapston who battled hard right to the end.
Some excellent challenges from Aiden, Jake & Adam. Some very good runs from
Kyle & Tom.
But Peter stole the show with his MOM performance.
