A great start to the New Year with a 2-1 win over Ise Lodge
Hawks.
Attack after attack saw Thrapston repeatedly denied by the Hawks keeper until
Peter finally found the goal. End to end stuff ensued with Hawks putting a penalty
wide just before the half leaving it 1-0 at half time.
The 2nd half was end to end again before what was possibly the goal of the season.
Aiden took the ball in his own half, beat one player and tore down the left wing,
crossing the ball just outside the penalty area to Peter who took a couple of
yards and then banged it in the back of the net.
The Hawks then got one back and really put pressure on Thrapston in the last
five minutes but to no avail.
A great game and some great play by all the Thrapston players.
