Thrapston drew their first game of the season in an entertaining
game. Thrapston took the lead after ten minutes with a well
taken goal by Kai Robinson, but the visitors struck back
midway through the half when they were awarded a penalty
for a foul on their striker. Half time 1 – 1. Thrapston
went 1 – 2 down almost from the restart, after the
home defence failed to clear their lines. Thrapston pushed
for the equaliser for most of the second half but some resolute
Barton defending kept them at bay until five minutes from
time when Ryan Gavin found time to tee up a shot to beat
the keeper. Final score 2 – 2.
