Thrapston were 0 - 1 down within five minutes of the start
after Grange caught Thrapston on the break. Keeper Oli Ventham
did well to parry the striker's shot but the ball fell to
another United player who scored from the angle. Thrapston
created plenty of chances in the difficult windy conditions
but couldn't finish. Grange added to their tally shortly
before the half time whistle, again getting caught from a
long ball down the middle. Half time 0 - 2.
In the second half Grange took advantage of the windy conditions,
keeping Thrapston on the back foot for much of the half,
but with fifteen minutes left, Jason Styles chased a through
ball to bravely poke the ball past the diving Grange keeper.
Thrapston created further chances to equalise but couldn't
capitalise. Finally with minutes remaining, some dogged work
on the right by Ryan Gavin allowed him to cross the ball.
The keeper parried the ball out for Adam Tutty to score from
close range. Final score 2 - 2.
