Thrapston were defeated by two second half goals in avery
close encounter by two evenly matched teams. Thrapston should
have gone into half time in the lead with Ben Hansord narrowly
missing a chance to score. with two regular goalkeepers missing
caretaker goalkeeper George Peet made two good saves in the
first half.
In the second half as both teams went for what was likely to be a deciding goal
it was Corby who managed to break the deadlock, they scored again late on to
make it 2-0. It was the story of the season where Thrapston weren’t able
to take their chances and the opposition did.
