In probably their second best performance of the season
Thrapston were very unlucky not to have come away with at
least at draw against a team they lost 6-0 to earlier in
the season. Archie Brocklebank was a commanding figure in
defence, the first time he has played in that position. Vikings
took the lead with an unstoppable shot, Thrapston pressed
forward and were rewarded with a cool finish from Matthew
Sharpe. 1-1 at half time and Thrapston were looking the stronger
team. In a very even second half Vikings cored a crucial
breakthrough and despite some good efforts from Thrapston
the equaliser wouldn’t come. A great performance by
the whole team and it shows how far we have improved since
the beginning of the season.
