The final score fails to reflect how closely
matched these teams could be if Thrapston could play for the
full 60 minutes. For the first 20 mins of the first half both
teams played some excellent football and it was thrilling
to watch, however Thrapston went to sleep for the last 10
mins of the half allowing Ise Lodge to go in 3 up at half
time. This quickly became 4 early in the second half however
Thrapston managed to dig deep and through some lovely work
down the left hand side of the pitch pulled one back with
Aaron Wright opening his account for Thrapston, this was quickly
followed up by a second Thrapston goal by Luke Stevens, was
the come back on ??....................unfortunately a defensive
lapse enabled Ise Lodge to score a fifth goal, Thrapston failed
to give up and from a goalkeeping error Ryan Watkin scored
Thrapston 3rd and final goal.
All in all despite the defeat it was a great game between
two teams who both play good flowing football.
