Rockingham rocked the home team as Thrapston defended too
deeply to find themselves two down in 10 minutes. Despite
the setback Thrapston’s Jack Rawcliffe and Danny Smith
began to dominate the central midfield. Home Keeper Luke
Odell’s excellent positioning thwarted numerous attacks,
several times being stranded by his own defense.
Jack Rawcliffe’s determination paid off as he pulled
one back closely followed by Paul Spicker making no mistake
from 6 yards out.
The second half started 2 - 2 with a determined Thrapston
keeping much of the possession. An unlucky clearance cannoned
back in to the Thrapston goal giving Odell no chance and
as Thrapston went three at the back in the last minutes in
an attempt to take a point Rockingham made it 2-4 on the
final whistle.
