Thrapston won their first ever competitive game with a magnificent
4-3 victory over Weekley Rovers Mavericks who have only lost
once before todays game.
Thrapston took the lead with a wonderful
goal from Matthew Sharpe, before conceding two goals and
went in at half time 2-1 down. Matthew equalised early in
the second half and then scored two more, all four very well
taken goals. Some resolute defending from Sam, George, Tom
and Sam and some fantastic saves from Christopher ensured
Thrapston were victorious.
A brilliant performance and a
reward for all the hard work put into the team from the players,
coaches and parents.
