Thrapston finished the first half of the season with one
of their worse team performances so far. If we had
been playing one of the better teams in the league the score
would probably have been as embarrassing as the England Cricket
team’s !
The first half we were all over the place with hardly any
passing and team work. Two good chances at goals were missed
by two of our players and things went from bad to worse when
Ise Lodge went 1 up from a poor goal which should have been
stopped. Heads then went down and we seemed to give up.
After a couple of substitutions, we were back in the game
when Luke Farden scored the equaliser with a great goal but
then Ise Lodge came back with another to put them back in
the lead. However, we managed to come back in the game in
the last few minutes when Luke scored his second great goal
and saved us from defeat.
