Previous matches between these two teams have been very close
affairs but today the Braves found the Yellows in top form.
After surviving a couple of early attacks from the Braves,
a corner from Scott saw Max rise to send a looping header
over their keeper to give us a great start 1-0. With Kyran
and Harry in control in the centre and Joe and Charlie marshalling
the defence the Braves were finding it difficult to play.
A fine ball down the line from Charlie saw Max cut inside
beat the defender and finish superbly to put us 2-0 up. Alistair
on for Scott. Continued pressure from the Yellows saw us go
into the interval 2-0.
2nd Half. Scott back on for Alistair. With the slope and
the wind behind us we took the game to the Braves. For the
majority of the half we were very comfortable and played some
good football, with Kern in goal being rarely troubled. Then
a great move starting at the back Joe to Harry, Harry to Scott,
a cross from Scott and Max completes his hat trick with a
tap in 3-0. Alistair back on for Harry. The Braves then made
some changes to try and salvage something from the game but
we held firm and finished the job running out 3-0 winners!
Games against the Braves are always difficult but today we
took our chances and didn’t let them into the game,
well done!
