In a fast paced game it was Thrapston that ended
up on top in this local derby where both teams had several
chances to score in a game that at times could have gone either
way. Thrapston went 1 up early in the first half when Man
of the Match, Matthew Smith coolly lobbed the advancing goal
keeper.
Both teams defended well however, Thrapston managed to score
a second and deserved goal 5 minutes from the end of the game
when a Connor Gates free kick was flicked on by Aaron Wright
to Matthew Smith at the far post who scored his, and Thrapston’s
second of the game.
