Despite numerous breaks by the home team in
the first half it was Thrapston’s Paul Spicker and Jack
Rawcliffe supported by Jordan Ward that created the greater
chances. So it was against the flow of play that Higham scored
first to knock Thrapston back despite strong defending from
Kyle Fox.
Second half play from Thrapston didn’t produce the quality
required and at 2-0 down it looked all over. Ryan Bruce pulled
one back but poor defending allowed Higham to make it 3-1.
