After playing some excellent football last week against the
Eagles much of the same was required today. With the Falcons
playing with a back line of 3 we found it very difficult to
break them down with the Yellows having the majority of the
possession but no end product the 1st half was a very scrappy
affair with very few chances at either end .Following a hopeful
punt up field Kern raced from goal only for the ball slip
under his body to gift the Falcons a 0-1 lead. Alistair on
for Max, Jack on for Scott. Half time 0-1.
The 2nd half was as scrappy an affair with neither team playing
any football as we went chasing the game. The Falcons defence
was holding strong and we were finding it very hard to break
them down. Max on for Alistair, Scott on for Jack. With time
running out we pushed bodies forward to get the equaliser
and from a cross by Scott the ball was deflected into the
Falcons net by a defender. Final Score 1-1.
A poor game today with neither team playing well but we showed
some character in pilling the pressure on in the 2nd half.
