Two games in two days and it showed as Thrapston struggled to get in to the rhythm that has seen them unbeaten in the past three games. The team could just not get hold of the ball and Whitworths played well and closed down Thrapston at every opportunity, however the spark to Thrapstons performance was when they were awarded a penalty (for what nobody knew!!) however with the decision having been made, “Man of the Match” Luke Stevens dispatched the penalty to put Thrapston one up. Thrapston then began to find their energy reserves and Luke Stevens soon added to the score line when he reacted swiftly to a lack of communication between defender and goalkeeper and nipped in to make it two nil.
Second half saw Thrapston dominate and only some good defending and goalkeeping kept the score down, however with ten mins to go Thrapston scored their third and final goal when Connor Ryan scored from close range to cap another good team performance.
