Strong pressure from the visitors kept Thrapston pinned in for much of the first 20 minutes until Danny Smith and Will Anns began to make an impression in midfield. Caught with the ball too often Thrapston found themselves 2 goals down at half time.
Keeper Paul Spicker kept the Generals at bay and Carlos Lewis played Smith through to find the net in the home team’s only goal before Generals made it 1-3 moments later.
