We were eager to prove we could get better result then the disappointing result of next week. With Jack P wearing his shooting boots we were up in the first minute. Corby was strong, but well played defense from our captain Alex and faultless goal keeping from Chris kept us on the upper hand. Bram and Braeden connected well in midfield. Excellent run from Jack P and we were up 0-2 in five minutes. We made our substitutions and with Ryan and Harry the action in midfield continued. We kept the upper hand with good combination football. This match we completed a lot of good passes and it gave us the advantage. Alex was run out of steam and Daniel came on. Corby was fighting back, but we kept a good balance.
The second half saw more of the same. Harry had replaced Chris in goal, but Harry’s goal keeping was just as good. A through from Daniel, flicked in by Braeden was saved by the Corby keeper, but Ryan was quick in the reflex and ended the score on 0-3. We kept a clean sheet as we continued to switch well between strike and defense.
A convincing win against a strong opponent. Well done to all, but due his relentless effort and the number of good passes the MOM is Ryan.
