Blues salvaged a draw with a last minute Harley Boddington strike to add to goals from Matthew Sharpe and Nathan Butler.
Blues struggled to find their rhythm on a very difficult frozen surface and an unfortunate error from the injured Tom Stoker gifted Eagles the lead early on.
Matthew Sharpe finished off a good run with a classy finish to bring Blues level but Eagles again took the lead just before half time to go in 2-1 up.
Within seconds of the re-start Nathan Butler forced the ball home after a mazy run to make it 2-2 and any thoughts that Blues were to push on from there were quashed when Blues stood like statues at a corner to let an Eagles player steal in at the near post to re-take the lead.
Blues pressed in search of the equalizer with Joseph Wright denied by a fine save from the Eagles keeper. With the clock ticking down and defeat looming Harley Boddington smashed the ball into the net to send the visiting supporters home happy!!
MOM – Tom Stoker – injured before the game played on in pain.
