Corby Kingswood Kestrels 10 v Thrapston Town Yellow

In a massive improvement from last week, Yellows came up against probably the best team in the league today and were defeated 10-0. Thrapston started on the back foot, but were able to keep Kestrels out for the first 5 minutes. Unfortunately once the first goal went in so did another 5, although most of the goals were very well taken finishes. In the second half Thrapston were able to come to terms with how to play Kestrels and defended heroically whilst having a few forays at the other end too. They restricted Kestrels to only four goals in this half and for the last 10 minutes matched them all over the park.
In order to improve we have to face teams like the Kestrels and learn how to play them, I believe a great deal was learnt today.
