So to the Semi Final of the League Cup. Up against the unbeaten Ise lodge Kites we were looking to secure our place in the final.A nervous start saw us take a while to get going but slowly we started to click and put the Kites defence under immense pressure. We thought we had scored when Max went through and lobbed the Ise keeper following a superb through ball from Harry only to be ruled fractionally offside. Still we kept pressing trying to use the width of the pitch to our benefit. Scott and Jack on the wings were pushing the Ise defence further and further back but we still couldn't make our dominance count and went into the break on level terms.
Half Time 0 - 0.
2nd Half Kern on for Luke, Josh on for Jack. We started the 2nd half how we finished the 1st, totally on top,.The Kites were on the back foot and were restricted to long hopeful punts up the pitch. A good run from Josh saw him brought down near the corner flag, Scott delivered a great free kick and Max rose above the Ise defence to head us into the lead 0 - 1. It was all one way traffic now! A quick break following some good work from Connor, Max went round 2 defenders and was brought down in the penalty box. Up stepped Joe who coolly despatched the penalty into the bottom corner of the net. 0 - 2. Hayden on for Josh and Andrew on for Dean. There was still time left for us to increase our lead and only the woodwork prevented Connor from adding to the score line. Final Score Ise Lodge Kites 0 TTJFC 2.
Another good performance with everybody playing a very important part.
