All was looking good for our last game of the season. All the players where there to support each other and the pre match talk to the Burton coach promised a well spirited, well balanced match.
In order to put maximum pressure on the Burton defense we had lined up Ryan, Braeden and Jack P. And what pressure they mounted. Good defensive build up from Daniel and Bram, followed by total football soon gave us our first chances and cool finished by Braeden and Jack soon put us 0-3 up! We made are substitutions and under the leadership of Kyle we kept the pressure, but Burton was smarting up to our game and it became balanced. Alex had a few excellent saves, so at half time we had still not conceded.
The second half saw Burton try to regain some of the match but we kept things well in order and the quality of the game did not suffer. Harry and Jack R had chances and Chris had to deny some of Burton’s good play for goal.
In the end a deserved win over a team equal to ourselves.
