A tough game against a very good Corby team in windy conditions.
Starting with Aiden in goal, John and Jake in defense, Adam in midfield and Fergus and Tom up front, Corby put Thrapston under a lot of pressure from the start. Some very good defending from the whole team held Corby at bay with Aiden pulling off some good saves when Corby got through.
The Blues had some breakaway chances but ultimately Corby snuffed them out and the game was tied 0-0 at half time.
The second half saw Peter and Kyle come on for Fergus and Tom. While Corby had the better of the first half, Thrapston started to come out on top in the second. Still working very hard, the chances came a little more often for the Blues and a little less often for Corby.
In the end, however, the game remained goalless.
A fair result, as neither team deserved to lose.
A great battling team performance, digging in deep and defending well and being solid when they had to be. Well done Blues.
