Thrapston produced one of their best performances of season in a game where the whole team performed with grit and determination.
In a slight change of formation Thrapston were able to play the game higher up the pitch and for the first 10 minutes were the better of the two teams with Simon going close. Ise Lodge scored two very quick goals before half time which was a little unfair on Thrapston. In the second half the team really took the match to Ise Lodge with Ben and Simon again going close. Ise Lodge were able to double their tally with two breakaway goals as Thrapston searched for a deserved goal.
I believe the team made a real step forward today not only in character as they have shown that all season but also in trying to play a passing game of football. Every single team member can feel rightly proud of their performance today.
