Thrapston had a mammoth task on their hands as they were playing a team which had defeated them 10-0 only four weeks ago. Thrapston started the match brilliantly nullifying the Corby threat and playing with great team spirit. Eventually the inevitable happened and Corby scored, however Thrapston restricted them to 3 in the first half. In the second half fantastic defending and pressure on the opponents kept the score respectable at 5, and only 3 quick goals at the end made the score 8. The match showed how far we have come as a team in our first season, and I believe it will stand us in good stead for the new season. I would like to thank all the players and parents for their support and efforts this year.
