The enigma that is Thrapston Blue produced one of their worst performances of the season going 2-0 down in the first two minutes of the match and ultimately losing by five. Blues looked a shadow of themselves as they failed to mark, tackle or pass in a woeful first 15 minutes. True they were playing up the slope and against a stiff wind but a failure to do the basics properly meant they went in 3-0 down at the break.
The second half was a more positive affair as Thrapston tried to get back into the match but the lack a cutting edge up front meant they never really created a clear cut chance.
Weekley always looked the most likely and a further two goals completed the rout.
