Thrapston ran out 4-0 winners in this match thanks to 2 goals from Nathan Butler and one each for George Peet and Joseph Wright. Thrapston started the game brightly and deservedly took the lead when George Peet finished with a rasping shot after a fine run down the right. Joseph Wright doubled the lead when he calmly slotted the ball past the keeper after good pressure on the last defender and Nathan Butler added a third as Thrapston reached the interval 3-0 up.
In the second half Thrapston squandered a hatful of threatening positions for the want of a final pass but Ewan Cox making his goalkeeping debut was rarely troubled in the Thrapston goal.
Man of the match Nathan Butler saved the best till last finishing a mazey run with a cracking shot into the corner of the Weekley net to make it four.
