Weekley Rovers Wonders 5 v Thrapston Town Yellow

Thrapston yellows started the game strongly but then gifted 3 goals in 10 minutes to a strong and well organized Weekley team. After the break, and with the slope now in Thrapston,s favour, a great pass out of defense saw our man of the match, Harley Boddington, score a superbly taken goal which was rightly enjoyed and celebrated by the whole team. Weekley continued to look for more goals and scored a further two close range efforts but Thrapston,s persistent defending and some great goalkeeping by Ben Hansord limited further scoring opportunities and Thrapston were unlucky not to score again from several counter attacks. Once again the game was played in a great spirit – well done to everyone involved.
