Thrapston had a tough task playing uphill and against the wind against a well drilled Weekley team. Both teams started brightly, but Thrapston defended stoutly in the first half and deservedly went in at half time 0-0. The second half was a different story and Thrapston were soon 3 goals down, some more determined defending and a couple of forays into the Weekley kept the score at full time to 5-0. Despite the loss it was a good lesson in concentrating for the full game and as usual the team’s competitive spirit was apparent throughout the whole match.
