Weekley Rovers Mavericks 4 v Thrapston Town Yellow

In a massive improvement from last week Thrapston lost only 4-0 to a team whom had beaten the blue team 5-0 in the previous week. Thrapston started well and defended stoically with a couple of great saves from Ben including a very brave stop at an attackers feet which resulted in Ben having to come off injured. At the break it was 2-0, but again good defending restriced the Weekley team to only two more goals.with some brilliant saves from substitute keeper Simon, and some great blocks from Josh, Luke and Jo.
All in all a great improvement we defended as a team and looked to pass it going forward in the second half.
MOM – Luke Gallagher – Was determined and resolute in midfield all match.
