Thrapston bounced back from last week’s heavy defeat with a well-earned 4- 0 victory in the cup.
After a tight and tense start Thrapston began to play the football we know we can play and Luke Stevens opened the goal scoring following a mistake by the keeper. Thrapston continued to work hard and were duly rewarded with their second goal when Luke stole in behind the defender to tap the ball passed the stranded keeper.
With a couple of changes made at half time Thrapston played some of their best football and a great run from Matthew Watkin set up a first time shot for Matthew Smith which put Thrapston 3 up. Thrapston continued to pressure and Luke Stevens combined well with Declan Ward in probably one of the best moves of the game to complete his hatrick and score Thrapstons fourth and final goal.
Man of the Match was Jamie Gambrell for his tireless hard work in midfield.
