With the entire squad traveling away to Kislingbury, for the first time this season the coach had some difficult decisions to make about the starting eleven. Kislingbury opened the scoring in the first 5 minutes with a good shot from a tricky angle. Thrapston defence soon got their heads up with solid performances from Rob Cunningham and Sean Blomley. Thrapston were unlucky not to equalize with Josh Wesby’s powerful shot being turned away by the goal keeper. The second half saw Kislingbury’s goal keeper in fine form again following a good save from Josh Catchpole’s shot. Following some changes from Thrapston – Ryan Gavin for Josh Wesby and Peter Whight for Jacob Sanders, the game saw Kislingbury extend their lead to 2-0. With Thrapston going into the last 15 minutes with 3 men in defence Kislingbury scored again making the final score 3 – 0.
Thrapston played well in parts during the game, and certainly didn’t disgrace themselves, with notable performances by Kai Robinson and Jason Styles (MOM).
