In perfect conditions for football Thrapston fielded a much changed side due to injuries. Both teams started with scrappy possession, with neither side dominating. After 25 mins Thrapston went ahead through a spectacular effort from Jedd Whiteman giving the Grendon goal keeper no chance with his powerful shot. The same player was unlucky not to get his second, when from a free kick the Grendon goalkeeper pulled off a good save. Half Time 0-1.
Early in the second half saw three changes for Thrapston, Josh Catchpole, Matty Wright & Mike Cooke replaced Joe Baxter, Peter Whight and Josh Wesby.
