After last week’s 14 nil victory Thrapston went into this game full of confidence. We started well with several shots on goal in the opening minutes and before long Daniel scored the first goal. The team continued to press on in what was becoming a tough game and within ten minutes were two nil up thanks to a goal from Jack P. Corby had their attacking moments but Kyle managed to make some very good saves to keep the score line at two nil at half time. The second half was much tougher and really a battle played out in midfield, with some good tackles made by both sides. For Thrapston, Bram and Jack R were strong in defense, Christopher made some great runs and Harry in goal ensured that our sheet was kept clean. Ryan made a number of good runs, but whatever we did we were met with some good defending from Corby, and it was only much later in the half that the game was finally sealed with a further goal scored again by Jack P.
Another good performance this time against a much tougher and better organised side, everyone enjoyed the game and it is really pleasing to witness the real sense of team spirit and support which is beginning to emerge.
