What a game against a strong Ise lodge team. The starting line up saw Matthew in goal, John and Jake in defense,Adam in midfield, with Peter and Tom up front. Some strong attacks by Adam and Jake and very solid defending from the start by John, followed up by some great saves from Matthew denied the Ise lodge team of their attempts on goal. Next saw a series of corners for the Ise lodge team but with every member of the Thrapston team fantastically marking every Ise lodge player we kept the goals out. An excellent corner taken by Peter saw the ball fly past just missing the goal mouth. 0-0 at half time.
Second half subs saw Dominic and Kyle come on for Tom and Adam. Thrapston needed waking up in the second half, a Couple of shots on goal from the Ise lodge team luckily Matthew was awake and dealt with them. Tom rejoined the team for a tired looking Jake. Some fantastic runs made by Peter with Kyle and Tom running down the wing and middle to help him saw Peter cross a brilliant ball through to Tom who just couldn’t get the power behind it. Again some Strong defending by John and Dominic throughout the second half. 1 minute from the final whistle, the Ise lodge team took a shot on goal 0-1.
