Under 10 yellow’s best performance to date. An exciting first half saw Thrapston create a number of chances. The ball shaved the Ise Lodge post on a number of occasions.
However, it was Ise Lodge who scored first – seizing on the ball when we failed to clear it. Both teams created chances at the start of the second half.
Ten minutes after the re-start Joe Wesby latched onto a pass from defense to score Thrapston’s goal. Kicking into a strong breeze and up the slope Thrapston tired slightly after their first half efforts. Ise Lodge took full advantage and scored twice late in the game to make the score 3-1 to them.
Credit must be made to the Ise Lodge team and the spirit the game was played in. Both the Ise Lodge coaches commented afterwards that a draw would have been a fair result.
Every member of the team should be proud of themselves. A lot of effort was put in and some good football played.
