On a day where Thrapston could only muster the bare eleven
players commitment effort and dogged determination was required
and a hard working Thrapston team showed all of these as
they went down 2 –0 to Hellenic. To be fair Thrapston
only offered Hellenic 2 chances but that was all that was
needed. In a first half, which showed Thrapston were playing
a number of players out of position, we struggled to get
hold of the ball and were left to tackle and work hard to
ensure that the 2 goals score line did not increase. After
half time a couple of positional changes were made due to
players carrying knocks and we looked the much better side
for the majority of the half. However, it showed that having
one striker up front (the other playing center back) our
striking powers were limited although saying that both Aaron
Wright and Connor Ryan both had good chances to score.

Well done boys we knew this was going to be a difficult
game even with a full squad, but as a team of eleven you
showed great resilience and determination and you should
be proud of your performance in the Thrapston shirt today.
