Taking on last seasons league winners in the opening game
of the season was never going to be easy but an enthusiastic
and hard working Thrapston kept Hellenic frustrated during
the first half. Hellenic put two past Thrapston only to be
rained back in as Ryan Kirk and then Jordan Ward made it
2-2 at half time.
Despite courageous defending from Will Anns and Carlos Lewis
(MOM) Hellenic’s superior fitness showed through in
the second half finishing 2-7.
