A very hard battle this week gave us our 3rd win this season.
Starting with Aiden in goal, John & Dominic at the back, Fergus in the middle & Tom & Peter attacking, we were looking solid & strong when a momentary lapse at the back saw us go 1-0 down.
Calling for a little more movement up front, Peter responded with a well taken finish.
Minutes later a big kick from Aiden found its way through bouncing to Peter, who took it in his stride to finish with an excellent volley across goal into the corner of the net.
2-1 at Half Time.
We made the half time changes with Matthew coming in for John, & Jake coming in for Dom. Both the new arrivals were involved in a lot of action as Corby came at us strongly, But our defence was strong & with Aiden playing his strong keeper role we looked solid at the back.
Some long range shots from Fergus with the wind behind him tested their keeper, & some hard challenges from Tom were taking their toll as our lads started to tire towards the end. But we stuck to the task of keeping Corby at bay & with the final whistle being blown there were some very happy, yet tired looking faces on our boys.
A greatly deserved win for some very hard work!
