Thrapston paid the price for a poor first half display. Poor concentration and marking allowing Kestrels to go in 1-0 up at the break, some brave saves by Tom Stoker keeping the scoreline respectable. A transformed Thrapston came storming back in the second half with Joseph Wright hitting a post and Matthew Sharpe denied by a goal line save that given a Russian linesman may well have been awarded.
